Mindful fashion - Midheavens

  • At Midheavens we rather use the words ‘‘mindful’’ and ‘‘slow fashion’’ than ‘‘sustainable’’. The word sustainability is thrown around a lot in the fashion industry and can lead to greenwashing.

Creating mindful pieces means we are conscious of the world around us, environmentally and socially.

We use comfortable and stretchy fabrics that will last, all pieces are ethically made by Demi, all pieces are designed to be adjustable so they will work for your wardrobe and will work with you, not against you.

Now that is how we create Mindful Pieces!

  • To minimise waste we cut our patterns with a method that leaves us with little scraps, in turn these scraps are used in our Second Chances project!

Every little scrap will find a new purpose at Midheavens.

  • Midheavens pieces are designed with women with tummy problems in mind, making all pieces adjustable and trendless, so you can enjoy it forever!

They are made with your bodies in mind, to make sure the pieces will work for you at all times, for all bodies.

  • Midheavens is run by a one woman show. Demi pays herself an ethical and living wage.

Everything you see at Midheavens has been made and designed at our studio. From pattern cutting, sample developing to making the final pieces, we can make sure everything is done ethically by controlling it in our studio.

How to take care of your clothes

General Care

For all Midheavens pieces we recommend machine washing (with low spin if you want to be extra careful of your pieces) at 30°C.

  • Air dry only

  • Iron on a low heat, or use a steamer to remove creases

  • Some items are better left laid to dry instead of hanging, this information can be found on the hangtags of your pieces upon delivery

  • Don't wash after every wear, it isn't needed!
